How Much Protein are you Actually Getting?

#1

Ever wonder how much protein your are actually getting in a single scoop of your favorite supplemental whey protein. Well there is a formula to find this out how much you ARE getting and how much is crap fillers.

Its very simple. Say one scoop has 25g of protein per the label claim. You take that 25g and divide by the amount of weight in that scoop or serving size. This can be found by the ‘Servings per container’ claim.

Say you have that 25g and the serving size is 34g. 25/34=73.5%. So of that scoop 73.5% is protein and 26.5% is fillers.

Here is an extremely popular brand and you will be surprised!

This is why I dislike the supplement industry even though now it looks like finally there are some companies that are putting together some good products.

I just saw that the FDA tested 700 dietary supplements and they admitted that most were bodybuilding supplements.

Out of 700 78% contained either not what the label claimed. Actual steroids or even cialis and viagra. I wish that the industry was actually regulated so that you could get what you want and know that you got what you paid for. I mean common its a multi billion dollar industry they can afford to pay for 3rd party testing to provide us the clients with proof that the product is what its supposed to be.
I would really like to see companies do this.

Great information about how to figure out what is the right brand to buy.

Huh???. Buy unmixable clump of dry whey. Buy pasteurized egg whites. That’s the way you figure it out anyway…but good subject. 100% liquid egg whites…serving is 46g. Look at protein x 4 cal. 5g of protein: 5 x 4 is 20. Serving is 25 calories 1 gram carb due to the process. I agree but the process to make a nice tasting protein causes that…plus all the keto people could care less about fat…right idea though. So 22g x 4, sugar x 4, the fillers are sugar alcohols…lecithin…xanthan gum…w/o some of it you’d puke. Egg whites protein powder and pasteurized egg whites with peanut butter and a couple of snickers…mmmmm
